"You need a bigger door!"- Onslaught.

Onslaught was a Decepticon and Combaticon who was known to be a genius when it comes to strategy. While Onslaught's tactical skill was his most impressive asset, he was more proud of the fact that he's so much bigger than his peers. In true Decepticon fashion, he liked to show off his brawn by bullying smaller foes. He served as the leader of the Combaticons, forming the head and torso of their combined form, the mighty Bruticus Maximus. He later was captured by the Transformers Reaction Force, and freed to join Megatron's Crew.

History[]

At some point, Onslaught is captured and detained by the Transformers Reaction Force. After failing to get Berserker freed in his negotiations, Megatron instead chooses Onslaught, who TRF agrees to free. As he is freed from their facility, Onslaught remarks that they need a bigger door, as he didn't fit. Eventully, he joined Megatron and the rest of the crew in going to Cade Yeagers Scrapyard.

He later joined them into going to an abandoned town, tracking down the Autobots for TRF. Upon arrival, Megatron finds Sqweeks, prompting the young human Izabella into revealing herself and insulting the Decepticons. Cade then fires at Megatron's Crew, startling them. The Autobots then attack, Drift and Crosshairs attacking Onslaught. Drift cuts off one of the Decepticons legs, and Crosshairs shoots him multiple times in the chest, blasting him into a wall, before Drift leaps over him and uses his sword to decapitate Onslaught, remaking that seeing his fat head was "fantastic".

Trivia[]

  • For his appearance in The Last Knight, Onslaught employed a retooled version of Long Haul's model, complete with new weaponry and Western Star 4900SF tow truck kibble replacing the original dump truck parts.
  • According to an Instagram post from Josh Nizzi, Onslaught and Long Haul are twin brothers, justifying why they share a body-type. However, this little tidbit has not been referenced in any official media.
  • Revenge of the Fallen Onslaught was developed independently of the on-screen character, yet shares the same article for simplicity and because both of them are based off Generation 1 Onslaught
  • During Onslaught's one line of dialogue, he appears to have an alternate mouth design based off Brawl's (compared to what is seen during the rest of his screen-time) to accommodate the exaggerated words.
  • According to his TRF prisoner dossier bio, Onslaught was developing a new weapon called The Decapitator prior to being released, presumably the large claw he wields in the film.
  • The Western Star 4900SF used to portray Onslaught in The Last Knight returned to Daimler Trucks North America's headquarters in Portland, Oregon, where it was put to work towing other trucks.
