Topspin

Topspin (also Volleybot in TLK) is a member of an Autobot team called the Wreckers. He is second in command of the team. He has participated at the Battle of Chicago with the others Wreckers (Roadbuster and Leadfoot).

Topspin is revealed to be still alive in Transformers: The Last Knight. He keeps asking Simmons to come out and play volleyball already.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon[]

Topspin, Leadfoot and Roadbuster are a team of Autobot engineers called the Wreckers, who came to Earth in their ship the Xantium which carried other Autobots, including Sideswipe. NASA took possession of their ship and Director Mearing mentioned they were rarely let off base due to their behavior. When Sentinel expelled the Autobots, the Wreckers prepared the Xantium for launch, but Starscream destroyed their ship as it was leaving. In the battle in Chicago, Topspin and the other Wreckers killed the pilot of a Decepticons fighter, and revealed to Sam that they had hid in a booster rocket which detached before Starscream attacked. When Shockwave attacked their convoy and Optimus lost his trailer, they created a diversion so that Optimus could retrieve it. Later they helped Optimus untangle himself and were among the surviving Autobots at the end of the film.

Transformers: The Last Knight[]

Years later, Topspin, who has Leadfoot’s head, was among several Autobots, along with Roadbuster and Mirage, were given asylum in Cuba, where he constantly pestered Seymour Simmons to play volleyball with him. At one point, he had been pestering Simmons during an important phone call with someone, which annoyed Simmons to say the least. Still, once the call was over, Simmons went to the beach with him.

The harder the job, the more Autobot Topspin likes it. If he doesn't return from a mission dented and leaking transmission fluid, he considers it a failure. Scratches and dings are badges of honor to him -- signs that he has come through all that life has to throw at him, and come out smiling.[1]

For Autobot Topspin it's all about going fast and carrying lots of weapons. He, Roadbuster, and Leadfoot were master technicians on Cybertron. Over the years they perfected modifications on vehicles, armor, and weaponry that rival anything the Decepticon scientists could ever hope to produce.[2]

A master driver, this Autobot has yet to meet a Decepticon he cannot outrun or outmaneuver. But Armor Topspin is not all flash and go - he's also a genius weapons designer. The armaments he carries into battle are some of the most inventive and devastating in the Autobot arsenal![3]
