Dragonstorm

Dragonstorm is a beastly three-headed dragon, mighty gestalt form of the legendary twelve Knights of Iacon who oppose Quintessa.

At other times Dragonstorm is instead formed from Stormreign and Dragonicus or he is a single, non-combining bot. It is logically unclear why the knights still could transform into the same dragon form after Nemesis Prime murdered one or two of them.

History[]

484 CE[]

In 484 CE, the knights fused into Dragonstorm to attack the Saxons, eventually, he won the battle for Camelot.

Present Day[]

During the battle against the Decepticons. From the ship's hull, Stormreign, Dragonicus, Steelbane, and 9 other Guardian Knights all combined into Dragonstorm and takes flight.

Dragonstorm manages to destroy the Decepticon fighters in the section of Quintessa's ship, while Optimus Prime rides on him, along the way, Dragonstorm drops Prime off to fight Infernocus.

In the aftermath of the battle, the Knight combined into Dragonstorm and flew alongside the Autobots ship to their homeworld.

Flamethrowers: Like other dragons, Dragonstorm breathes fire at its opponents from its three heads.

Trivia[]

Dragonstorm is not the first Dragon Alt Mode Transformer with three heads.
- Scourge from the Transformers: Cybertron Series has three heads when he uses a Cyber Planet Key.
  - The Transformers Universe Toy for Decepticon Bruticus from RID 2001 is a redeco of Cybertron Scourge.
- Predaking the Predacon Dragon has two Hydrafire Blasters, the Hydrafire Blasters can be used as Extra Heads for his Dragon Mode.
While many viewers thought Dragonstorm's design was based on King Ghidorah, his design as a six-limbed dragon, and ability to breathe fire, and his background to be a tribal guardian are more akin to that of Zmey Gorynych from Slavic Mythology, In fact, his design actually resembles the Zmey Gorynych in the 1956 Soviet film Ilya Muromets which is the inspiration source of King Ghidorah.
- Dragonstorm's background including his connections to Merlin and King Arthur and the Knights is based on Y Ddraig Goch and the White Dragon.
